KMPX-fm was the first underground rock station, but Tom Donahue and his staff went out on strike in protest of ownership's refusal to share the wealth (the staff later moved en masse to KSAN). Many other acts not shown on the concert poster may have actually played this benefit, including Santana Blues Band and Grateful Dead and maybe Charley Musselwhite, Kaleidoscope, Jeremy Steig and The Satyrs, Clover and Frumious Bandersnatch.
