  2. Ebbett's Field - Denver - livecast 13/9/73

  3. There was at least one Ark show (Gate 5, Sausalito) ..sometime in the Licketts 5 era, I believe.

  4. Another one for lineup #9 - I saw them in Spokane WA sometime in the winter/spring of 1972-73, no idea now what venue but might have been a Gonzaga University auditorium. Over 40 years later, still one of my high points in live music.

  6. Another show to add: 2/6/73 Eaton Chapel, Beloit College, Beloit WI

I assume the lineups were DAN HICKS AND HIS HOT LICKS #10 + THE LICKETTES #5 though I don't remember there being a drummer. But it's likely to assume so, as he was on that tour.

    Also, it's "Vanderbilt." ;-)

  7. It was really sad to hear of Dan's passing this month. I've been listening to all the original Hot Licks recordings for the first time in years, and they still sound so fresh and timeless.

I also have one more show to add to your list ... I saw them on February 18, 1973 at the Irvine Auditorium, U-Penn, Philadelphia. The band was your #10 lineup. I find it hard to believe that they played in Detroit the night before ... talkin' 'bout reelin' down the highway! You can verify the date by checking the advert in this U-Penn newspaper archive: http://www.library.upenn.edu/docs/kislak/dp/1973/1973_02_16.pdf.

RIP Dan, your music lives on!

    Best wishes,
    Mike

  8. February 26, 1977, Rio Theatre Rodeo CA
    1) Dan Hicks
    2) Naomi Eisenberg

I directed the lighting for that show.
Though booked as two separate acts, that night Dan and Naomi performed one song on stage together along with a little bickering.
I am sorry to hear of Dan's passing.

  9. Dan played a gig in a small club in downtown San Diego, circa 1975. 40 minutes late, played 3 or 4 songs and left. Sorry can't remember details...
